FAQs
What services do you offer?
How do I book a trip?
Simply send me an email at bobby.beatz.travel@gmail.com or click on the appropriate button and fill out the form on the home page.
How much does working with Bobby Beatz Cost?
If you have a preplanned itinerary it is completely free. No hidden charges or fees. If I can't beat the price you can find, book your vacation like you normally would. There is no obligation to book, and no downside to contacting me to see if we can get your vacation for less money.
If you want Bobby Beatz to plan your whole vacation for you I charge 5% of the total cost of the trip.
If you are somewhere in between - you have a good idea of what you want but are not completely sure, send an email and we can talk about it.
What areas do you cover?
I am happy to help plan trips anywhere in the world. I can help you plan a trip literally anywhere in the world! But if you want to pick my brain on my favorite spots, I’ve spent a lot of time in Europe (specifically Germany) and throughout Central America and the Caribbean.
If you're thinking about Costa Rica, definitely let me know —it’s my favorite place to travel. Whether you want to know the best time to visit, what its like camping in the rainforest, best beaches, or best excursions, I’d love to help you plan it.
Do I still get credit card points?
Of course. Bobby Beatz is the best, but he isn't paying for your trip.
Do I have to give you my credit card information?
For any reservation that requires a down payment or deposit I will need your credit card information. All credit card information is collected and stored securely in Fora's portal, not by me personally.
What is Fora Travel? I keep seeing it mentioned on your website
They are the host agency I use. The real estate parallel is that Fora Travel is the Real Estate Agency and I am the agent.
I get 10X credit card points booking travel in my credit card portal - why go with you?
I will check the Chase and Capital One portals for you. If the price is the same, I will tell you to book there as opposed to with me. However, portals aren't always the cheapest option (even before any discounts I can get as a travel advisor), so I’ll help you run the numbers to see if the 'extra points' are worth it.
I can be involved as much or as little as you’d like! My services generally fall into two buckets:
The 'Itinerary Audit': If you’ve already built your itinerary, send it to me. I can often book the exact same hotels and cars at a lower rate or with perks (like free breakfast, room upgrade, spa credit) that you can’t get on your own.
Full Trip Planning: I can design your entire getaway from scratch. Stress free.
I can handle:
The Essentials: Hotels, Cruises, and Rental Cars.
The Details: Excursions, Tours, and Private Transfers/Rides.
A note on Flights & Airbnb: While I’m happy to book these for you they usually don't offer special industry rates. However, I can often sometimes get flight discounts not available to the public when bundling it with your hotel or car rental.
Why do companies give special rates to travel advisors?
Most major travel sites require hotels and rental agencies to sign Rate Parity agreements, which prevent those companies from publicly advertising lower prices on their own websites. However, these platforms also charge the hotels a high commission—often between 15% and 25%.
Because my services are considered a private distribution channel, companies can offer me 'fenced' or 'off-market' rates. By booking through a travel advisor, the hotel avoids the high fees charged by giant search engines. They then pass those savings back to you in the form of lower rates or VIP perks (like room upgrades and breakfast), while still providing a professional commission for my expertise. It’s a win-win: the hotel keeps more of the profit, and you get a better deal than the general public.
Bobby Beatz is a pretty sweet name, is that what your parents named you at birth?
No, my parents are cool - but not that cool
If Bobby Beatz isn't your birth name are you called that because you can beat public prices when it comes to travel?
I can beat public prices, but no that is not where the name comes from either. I’m the designated 'family DJ' on all our trips. My kids, nieces, and nephews nicknamed me Bobby Beatz because I’m always laying down sick beats by the pool.
